ABOUT US
I have a passion for fly-fishing and a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge. I have spent part of my professional career providing training and developing training materials in different subjects.
I decided to use my approach to learning to share the best practices I have found in fly-fishing.
The improvement of fishing skills doesn’t come overnight, and most people cannot spend five days a week fishing. But I'm convinced that anyone can accelerate the process with the right information and an appropriate learning approach.
For this reason, I created Fly Fishing Evolution Blog with the aim of providing high-quality learning materials about fly-fishing subjects.
When I discovered contact nymphing in 2005, I experienced by myself how hard the learning process is when you don’t have the right information or the right instructor. The more I read, the more confused I was between the Czech, Polish, French, and Spanish styles and the classical high-stick technique from the USA, etc.
I was committed to master this technique, and I reached out to some of the most credited masters in contact nymphing. I’ve been fortunate enough to receive intense training from two gold medalists in the international fly-fishing championships. In a three-year period, I have documented all the tactics and experiences they have shared with me.
Since then, I have used contact nymphing with great success in the USA, Norway, Poland, Spain, and Slovakia, and I’m sure you will be highly rewarded with a lot of catch wherever you are located.
In my passion for teaching and providing high-quality training content, I have created this blog to
help anyone to learn this technique.

I’m a documentary filmmaker, outdoor photographer, and passionate fly-fisher.
My love of nature started at a young age. I started fishing when I was a kid, thanks to my father’s dedication. He taught me about wildlife and how to observe nature. He taught me to always learn from others and to make the effort to learn new skills.
From those early days, I spent so much time being outdoors, mainly fishing. When I discovered fly-fishing, I was captivated by the magic and aesthetics of this system. I became hooked and soon learned new techniques to face new challenges.
I have visited many different countries for fishing, and I have discovered new approaches and techniques in all of them. The learning process was hard, but very rewarding. It brought me memorable experiences and provided me with some of my best friends
I was lucky to meet David Martin. I share with him a passion for fly-fishing and the curiosity to learn new techniques. Both interests brought us to develop this blog.
